CELEBRITY GOLF CARTS AUCTIONED FOR CHARITY
LONDON, ONTARIO (June 12, 2007) – The summer’s most unique automotive
related show and charity event was held at Steve Plunkett's Fleetwood Farms
estate this past weekend and three lucky purchasers left with their souvenir
golf carts prepared by OTOOLS Rent or Buy of Forest, ON. Each custom golf
cart was signed by the headline star for whom it was built, and by the King
of Kustomizers George Barris of Hollywood CA.
Barris is famous for creating all the major movie and television cars
including Batmobile, Munster Coach, Beverly Hillbillies, and General Lee.
Several of his creations were on display including the most recent "Shark
A.T.T.A.K.”
Many golf carts were also supplied by OTOOLS for the staff and security
personnel. “It was just an awesome weekend and I’m so proud to be a part of
this special occasion” said Don Brooks, owner of OTOOLS. “We shared a lot of
stories with George Barris about his life and the many movie cars… like him
being twice refused when trying to buy a coffin after he said he was going
to make a car out of it… ‘the third time I just paid for it and stole one.’
We spent two hours touring the estate on our golf carts looking at cars and
interviewing people for his Barris TV show. Watch for that to air soon on

Nineteen primary charities will benefit including Jesse’s Journey, London
Regional Cancer Center, Crime Stoppers plus several Optimist and Lions

“Folks can get a sneak preview of these golf cars at the London Auto
Expo, Western Fair Grounds March 23 -25,” added Brooks. “Information will be
available about the Fleetwood Country Cruize-In, which promises to be
another don’t-miss-it event for car-buffs to put on their calendar.”
